President Weah Completes Voter Registration, Calls on All Citizens to Register
A true leader always leads by example, by demonstrating to others how the work is done, President George Manneh Weah has completed his Biometric Voter Registration; as encouraged Liberians, especially eligible voters, to turn out to register ahead of the October 10, 2023, Presidential and Legislative Elections.
President Weah said the 2023 electioneering process, which begins with the voters’ registration, provides an opportunity for all eligible citizens to vote and be a part of the national leadership decision-making.
According to an Executive Mansion release, the President said it is the right of every eligible voter to vote, noting that the process can start with registration and good behavior to avoid violence.
“Your vote is your right—the right to choose your government. To be able to exercise that right, you must first obtain your voter’s registration card. You must be peaceful and orderly”, he added.
The Liberian Leader indicated that the best way for citizens to hold their Government accountable to them is to choose for themselves through ballot box.
President Weah urged the citizens to be patient, despite the long queues of potential registrants at the registration centers, to obtain their cards and be ready for the October polls.
President Weah registered at the RLJ Kendeja Elementary School in District Six, Montserrado County on Friday, 31st March, 2023.
