At least two schools and an orphanage in Montserrado and Margibi Counties have received a huge number of donations compressing chairs, desks, bunk beds, and mattresses donated by the Office of First Lady Clar M. Weah.
Mrs. Weah’s Office recently provided the sum hundred (100) chairs and desks to the Heritage Christian Academy and Precious Gift International School in Slipway and Clay Street respectively.
The Peter Sayklon Orphanage within Margibi, located on Bong Mines Highway in the suburbs of Kakata, received over 50 bunk beds and mattresses.
The Staffers of the First Lady’s office said the donations were in response to the urgent need for such support at many underprivileged schools and orphanages.
Social Services Coordinator, Kayea Dorbor and Protocol Officer Joe Stevenson Morris stated that the First Lady has a heart of gold, especially towards underprivileged Liberians, and has always been available in times like these.
Kayea and Joe are elated that the donation will boost conducive learning conditions and the overall well-being of children at the respective schools and orphanages as the gesture is not unusual.
“As Mother of the Nation, Mrs. Weah continues to serve as a goodwill ambassador. She has a tendency to always identify with the less fortunate people of Liberia through her office and foundation, the Clara Hope Foundation”; a statement says.
