Junior Professions FC Revamped
Liberia’s second-division league side Junior Professionals Football Club has been revamped under a new technical management team for a better outcome in the next soccer league under the Liberia Football Authority (LFA).
In the wake of improvements being made in sporting activities in Liberia, particularly soccer, the Junior Professions FC is getting better results as all has been done by its management, headed by its Acting President, Aliou V. Bah.
In continuance Junior Professional football club was founded on March 19, 1980, and this marvelous football club, was on top of the league’s table for a considerable period but as time went by, it became difficult to recruit new players and that resulted in a setback for the team.
As the beautiful game of football improved in Liberia, Junior Professionals are certain to put up an impressive performance in this second phase of the ongoing 2022/2023 Orange National Second League season.
Talking to Kukatonon News at the Tusa Field Sports pitch, Junior Professions FC Captain Teddy Redd, disclosed they are impressed with the new management and their major achievement will be to take the team from where it is and elevate it.
“The first year, we played about 15 games and we accumulated 12 points. And now we have played one game and we have three points already. This is because we are ready to go to the top now.
And I feel very happy. We have so many teams that have been calling our names around, playing with your professionals, makes me happy and I feel that my football career is improving gradually every day if I play with young professionals”; proclaimed the Captain.
For his part, the Junior Professionals administrative manager Edwin Jorplah, declared openly, that it has been very good working with the team as the cooperation remains strong between the management as well as the players.
“It has been very good working with the team, the players, the administration, and the technical staff. Last year we were down, struggling in the league but we came from the bottom to the top.
The team is getting in form, salary is coming regularly. The players get their salaries on time, they get the equipment. Everything is getting better. We say it’s better now we are doing better. We say thank you to them. We hope that they continue to do much better”; Jorplah noted.
That being elucidated, the head coach of Junior Professionals Varmah Kpoto, has revealed that the team is fully prepared to win any match because it has all it takes to face any team in the upcoming league.
“We had some problems with getting new players on board because after you have played half of the season you will always notice that you need to build up your team. The football team is almost like a computer. If you don’t upgrade your system then you’re going to have difficulty with others because they’re going to upgrade their system and when you upgrade yours then you both get on the same path. With our dynamic management, we can now boast of having the best players in the country and we are hoping that our players, will be selected for the national team”; Coach Kpoto divulge.
According to him, presently, players and members of the technical team receive their monthly salaries on time as well as all materials needed to make the players happy.
“I feel very, very impressed because at the beginning of this season, you know, we had a bad beginning but at the end of the first phase, we have been playing a couple of leagues over time but we are showing that we’re going to win them because most of the time, the results always end up bad when due difficulties faced with in the past. I have seen a lot of improvements, we’ll try and manage what we have because in sports, what you have, you try to work on it and see what you can produce from that”; coach Kpoto concluded.
Henceforth, Junior Professionals Acting President, Aliou V. Bah has lauded the members of the technical staff as well as players for their efforts in making the team second to none.
