Three Counties Superintendents, Lofa, Margibi, and Margibi have bragged of several achievements and gains made while serving the Weah-led government in his first term.
Weah is up for reelection in October 2023 contesting against the same main candidates he defeated in 2017.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information press regular briefing, Superintendents William Tamba Kamba of Lofa County, Jerry Varney of Margibi County, and Esther Walker of Bong County said they have maintained their tasks to undertake necessary development have brought growth and achievement in the areas of health, education, infrastructure, road rehabilitation, women and youths empowerment since their ascendancy of the President’s direct administrator in their respective counties.
Making their cases in separate deliberation on Thursday, April 6, 2023, Superintendent Esther Walker of Bong County said, since she took over leadership, she has been working closely with government officials in making sure to neutralize the county developments funds and other support from partners in creating a suitable environment for citizens to help buttress government efforts.
According to Superintendent Walker, her administration has achieved fifty to seventy-five percent of the campaign messages made by the CDC-led government within Bong County.
“Under the leadership of Ambassador George Weah, encouraging and having a dialogue with partners, Bong County stayed out of electricity for a little over forty-five years, today Bong county has a stable 24, hours current under the supervision of LEC/ JPP, people from Bong County are now buying freezer to run their businesses”; Madam Walker brags.
Speaking at the same time, Margibi county superintendent Jerry Varney said, his office has been working closely with government and partners to ensure the rehabilitation of roads the construction of the market buildings, the construction of schools, the empowerment of women youths, and many other developments within the County under the CDC-led administration
Further stating, “When we took over we met nothing in Margibi coffers, but from our engagement with partners, we have embarked on our first personal project as our first engagement road rehabilitation”; Varney averred.
Meanwhile, the three superintendents disclosed that they working closely with citizens of their respective counties to help the government achieve her pro-poor agenda.
